A Few Pictures From Our Day

These pictures got all mixed up as I loaded them.
We had a fun day with the H. family at a museum nearby. The sign on Lydia's horse said he needed a rest. Oops.
Playing on the playground behind the schoolhouse.

Kitchen fun.

Baking Day

New utility poles put up today.

Making carrot cake an Emma specialty with assistance from Hosea

Emma made this recipe the other day and though I tried to save a few for Josh it ended up being just one. He liked that one and was hoping there were more somewhere hidden away.
Salinn making pie crusts for Amos' Rhubarb pie. Yummy!!!!!
Poor Mercy does not appreciate the heat. These humid days are not her favorite. Neither is she enjoying cutting teeth.

School has been in FULL swing today. Trying to gets lots done. Hope you had a great day. This afternoon has been busy. We are going on a field trip tomorrow with some other homeschooling friends and we are looking forward to that. Another busy weekend ahead but we look forward to it.

A Birthday Package and some pictures

A red fox we saw yesterday.

We had to make a trip to a UPS store to pick up Silas' birthday package yesterday. He was so excited. Sorry these pictures are not in any particular order. I have no idea why they would not go where I put them. Oh well. I am not picky. :)

Reading his card.....thank you Grandma and Farm Papa!!!

Hosea looking at the fabric with the 3 d glasses on.

Shopping in town while we waited for the UPS store to open. They were only open from 4-6 p.m. We got to get pizza for dinner while we   waited. Yummy.

Silas with his new birthday fabric. We may try to make him some pajama pants.

I still remember Salinn wearing this bonnet.

Sweet baby

Silas with his gift.

He can hardly wait to try this. What a great gift for all of us. :) Thank you aunt Rach for the letters. It was fun to get mail. Nice cards too. You have been busy.

Come Garden With Us

Another busy day. We had school this morning. Josh had a CPR class he was taking at work this afternoon. It was nice but humid out today so we decided to run to town with him. Good exercise walking around. WE bought seeds to plant in our garden and seeds for a friend. Faith enjoyed helping collect asparagus.

Here she is helping Dad put the stalks in the pan.

Hosea weed wacking for us. His first time. He is all covered up so as not to get into the wild celery like Dad did. Ouch!!!

Obadiah listening to Dad's instruction on where he is to weed whack.

Ask Silas if he is a Yankee or Confederate and he is always the opposite ready to fight

We bought these hats at a( really cheap) store getting rid of them price back in February.....with a little thought and some additions they are great re-enacting hats.

Not the Post I had in mind

These pictures are all from yesterday. For some reason I cannot seem to get my pictures to load well. So this is all for tonight. The kids were having races yesterday.

It was often difficult to tell who placed first, second and third.

Silas was the man with the flag. :) He also sold lemonade.....he sold one cup to mom. :) I love the little cheering girl next to him.

Mercy was so excited to help cheer her siblings on. Today was a busy day for us. I may get a chance to blog about it tomorrow. Silas did get his package Grandma and Farm Papa. He was so happy. We all have colds again. I am hoping that my computer is up to loading pictures better tomorrow.
